the weather outside is frightful, but the fire inside's delightful

When I read that people in Europe have frozen to death .. well, I'm a bit taken aback. I guess they aren't that used to the cold, but jeez, they should have been more prepared. I'm sure there would at least have been forecasts about the weather. It's getting cold here too. In fact, tomorrow it's 8.6 Fahrenheit, or -13 Celsius. And on Saturday .. the worst day, it's 3.2 Fahrenheit/-16 Celsius. The day I'm going to the prom. It leaves me in doubt whether I'll want to step a foot outside the door.
