It was full moon yesterday, and maybe I've been watching too much Teen Wolf, but I got this feeling that my night shift might'n't go that well. Luckily it wasn't as I'd thought. First shift was kind of bad, like-- there's this horrible feeling when you have multiple patients getting more poorly at the same time, and then other patients just want something mundane as a painkiller. But because you're so busy with the others, they get neglected. But that's just how it is, it's not something I blame myself for. As it is I am no superhuman, and I only have two hands. Second night shift was way better. I got home, and didn't go to bed before 10 am. There was a moment where I just thought "maybe I should just stay awake" because I didn't feel that tired. But I got to bed, put my earplugs in, put on my sleep mask and went into a slumber for three hours. Woke up to the vibration of my phone, which I thought were mice in my dreams. I've been pretty productive today, I think. Only had a bit of a breakdown when I realised that it's the Brits tonight, and that some of One Direction showed up. I've known about the Brits for a long while, but I just didn't think that anyone of them would make an appearance, considering their break. I was a bit sullen when I realised Niall wouldn't be there, but you know, he's out and about somewhere in Asia nowadays, exploring the world. And though I would really really want to see him making a public appearance, the image of him exploring the world in good company is really comforting. I am sort of hoping he'll stay there for awhile, just so when I travel there, the closer proximity can give me a comfort. I am actually watching The Brits at the moment, and I just saw Louis and Liam presenting an award to Adele. It's strange how comforting it is to see them. I watched a bit of the Norwegian version of Idol this evening, but I guess I'm skipping the rest to watch the Brits. There were a lot who sang Story Of My Life by One Direction, and it's really is a great song to sing. I was also really surprised to see that people in the audience were singing along. I really have to realise that One Direction isn't a small group. It's amazing how many amazing singers there are out there. I am going to enjoy The Brits now, before I go to bed.

I won’t ever let you go. Wait for me to come home
I walked past a mirror at the mall today, and I was surprised to see how French I looked. Due to the strange weather today, there's been a lot changes of clothing. And somehow I guess I ended up wearing clothes that resembled what I think a French woman would wear. I drove a bit with my dad this morning, and on the way back home it started pour with rain. And I was quite terrified, because it felt a bit like driving with my eyes squinted. Basically felt a bit blind. Luckily it stopped a bit (then it started again). But driving 60 km in the pouring rain felt a bit like I was going to die. Held my breath at times, even. But we got home safe and sound, to my relief. And I warned Lynx and Grepper when they were on their way to the mall. Right-- 1. Picture of my brekkie the other day. I'm still a sucker for vanilla yoghurt, and I made a heart with my blueberries because it was satisfying to look at. 2. The name of a chapter in the Bridget Jones book called "Direction!". It's just that every time I hear or read that word, I instantly think of One Direction. 3. Mad about The Boy by Helen Fielding, the actual Bridget Jones book I keep going on about. I ended up finishing the book at 2:00 am because I procrastinated yesterday. It was very Bridget Jones-y and I was really annoyed with Bridget a lot of the time, because how can she not have learnt from past mistakes. And I was rolling my eyes fondly because she's so silly. I had a hunch how it would end, and it was really good. I laughed a lot, which I was not surprised by. And I was really happy with how it ended. I really hope it's turned into a movie as well. I can't not think of Renee Zellweger as Bridget Jones. Oh wait, I just googled her picture, and it seems like her face has completely changed? Oh no. Anyway, whilst reading the book late last night, I watched the release concert for Ghost Stories by Coldplay. It was so pleasing for the eyes and ears. Goodness, I totally fancy Chris Martin. I've officially got holidays for eleven days, and I started out this morning with two hours less sleep than what I should have gotten. Half of my hair has been cut off, and maybe I should have snapped a picture of all the hair, but it was swept away by the time I could think of it. My short hair is also one of the reasons for why I feel a tiny bit French. I still have this kind of ombre going on, and I kind of like it better with shorter hair. But I really want a change of colour, I think, because I've had it for four months now, and I feel like a change is what I need. The best part about chopping your hair off, is the first shower, because it's so liberating not having to spend so much shampoo or time even-- on washing your hair. We got a picture from Lynx and Grepper's wedding, and it's really pretty I think. Very satisfying I think, because there's an equal amount of people in the picture, and the background is really nice and whatnot. Anyway, I should go now, enjoy my Saturday off and be with my family.

you can keep me inside the pocket of your ripped jeans
I'm 21 today, which is a strange thing to write, because it feels a bit like I'm only 19. It's been a perfect day really; I've had work, which was fine. Like, it was a bit tiresome, because I stayed up watching the game yesterday. And work was a bit stressful yesterday due to a few different things. However, sometimes it's nice to feel like you're working. Also, I quite like my patients. It's so easy to forget that whilst caring for older people is my work, it's actually their lives. So, being nice, spending some time talking and joking around can make a bit of their day. And it's those small things that matters, I think. Basically, making people happy, makes me happy. I bicycled home in the bloody heat, and changed into a bikini top, before I drank some water and flopped out on a chair with a book I've been meaning to read. The sound of Multiply by Ed Sheeran was playing in the background (which I've become really fond of). It was nice, because I've honestly not been out tanning in the sun for ages. I started off reading the book, but then I had to put it down because I kept dropping off. So I fell asleep in the sun for a bit, which was nice, because though it's been bloody hot today (and the previous days), the sun hasn't been ablaze. We decided to have a BBQ, so whilst I was sat outside, Monchita went to the store. She got home with a present to me in addition to the groceries, which was really nice. I made the salad, and Monchita was the chef. And we had a lovely BBQ in the nice weather (whilst listening to Jonas Brothers). And now I'm watching the match between the Netherlands and Argentina, which is so bloody tense. I am cheering for Argentina, because I think it would be sad to see two European teams in the final. Also, I feel like Argentina is the underdog in this match. However, I also think Netherlands are really good, and have been during the whole championship, so I sort of want them to win too. I just want everyone to win, is all. I'm scared to take my eyes off the television now, because it's so tense. So
