if the lights are all out, I'll see who's around
This puts a grin on my face. And hello to you as well. I've not gone hiatus just yet. I've just been tired due to lack of sleep. Visitors have come and gone, and yesterday was spent catching up with friends. And whoops, all of a sudden it was Thursday. Also known as the start of my weekend. Although, to be fair, I wouldn't really call it weekend just yet, because I spend my Thursday nights on writing school stuff. But now I'm back, and I plan on filling you in with new One Direction information. Honestly, Niall has been shirtless in three music videos now. If he keeps it up like this, I think we'll have to start counting the times he's not shirtless. I do wonder how they've made him do that scene. Like, did they just say "I'll get you something from McDonalds or Nando's if you'll do it". One of the main reasons why this music video makes me grin, is the fact that it shows how silly they are. It's my favorite thing about One Direction - they're complete idiots and not afraid to make a fool of themselves. And I love people like that. Also it's the fact that they're trying to do synchronized dance moves. And then there's just the pure randomness. It's like what the hell did I just watch? And then it's the fact that when they are filming themselves, it looks like they are vlogging - and oh wow, how wonderful wouldn't it be if they started vlogging? Speaking of vlogging and One Direction - my favorite youtuber, Tanya Burr got to meet Harry Styles yesterday at The Brits. And of course I'm envious, but I'm mostly proud and a bit overwhelmed, because it feels like every piece of the puzzle is falling together (if you didn't understand what I meant here, it's okay - you're not supposed to understand either). And speaking of The Brits - One Direction won a Brit for Global Success. And they beat Adele and Mumford & Sons (according to my belieber-friend who tweeted me a link to an article about it). And I do actually think they've deserved the award. I don't know if I'd agree if it was an award for "best" something. Because, oh man - Adele and Mumford & Sons? They're like two of my favorite things in the world. But I'm very happy for 1D. Also, it's always amusing to watch their drunken interviews (where they act like a bunch of 5-year olds) afterwards. I didn't really know what 1D was up for at The Brits, so I didn't think they'd win anything. But I sort of woke up today at 05:30 am, when Niall tweeted his good nights and thank you's. And I realised that they probably won, because who would stay up partying so long if they didn't win? This is getting long - I'm going to listen to BBC radio 1 breakfastshow from today, because Harry was there with Nick. And I love them together, the hipsters. Also, before I go, I'd like to point out that Harry commented on Taylor Swift's performance at the Grammy's. The one where she basically imitated him and said "we're never, ever, ever getting back together" or something along those lines. And guess what he said? He actually complimented her and said she's a great performer. And wait - who's 23?

Thing is, I really love Timshel by Mumford and Sons. It's my new favorite by them. It's just very simple with vocals and instruments. And then it's the lyrics. At the end Marcus sings "I can't move the mountains for you", a line I've seen on Tumblr and elsewhere multiple times. And I love it. It's my favorite part of the song, although I love the whole tune in itself, because of the meaning behind it. So I wrote this (the slight blurry pictures, sorry for that) yesterday evening before I went to bed after reading another wondrous fan fiction. And it's sort of like trying to comfort someone when you don't know what to do. And you end up kissing them, because it's how your mum fixed the pain when you stumbled across a rock and fell when you were little. I actually went to bed quite early (in my opinion) yesterday, because I've grown accustomed to it. And today my friends plan on attending a 90's party?? But I can't remember how I used to dress then, mainly because I was a baby, toddler and then started my first year at school at the end of the 90's. And my memory isn't the best. So now I'm texting my friends for advice .. and my little sister is claiming to be an expert and dressing me up in various things. Oh god. And I who wanted to avoid any sleep overs this weekend. And the last weekend. And the weekend before that too. Also, it's nice to be able to be bored. I remember I would actually wish to be able to be bored during really busy times at school last year. So if it wasn't for this being a birthday celebration, I'd probably stay at home. In bed. I've got to go and get ready now. Maybe I'll post some pictures of my outfit tomorrow. The worst part is that it's not that different to what I'd dress in today. Actually, I probably would wear it today too.

Hiya! I've not gone completely hiatus. No, I've just become a human with a life outside of the Internet, surprisingly enough. Yesterday I went to school. I normally have Fridays off now (till March comes along and "real" school and lectures starts again). And I've decided to dedicate Fridays for school work. It's always better to be early than late. At least that's my philosophy. After school, I went to the mall with my best friend, whom I thought I hadn't met up with for a month, but my other best friend reminded me that, no I was actually with her two weeks ago. It's nice to know that my friends have more overview of my life, than myself. I hadn't really done any shopping until yesterday. Not even after Christmas. Sure, I've wandered along at the mall, looking and all. And I have bought things - but those were necessities. It's not like whenever you go shopping and buy whatever is on sale. But basically, I bought things that probably will stay favorites a long long time.
1. A new tote bag, because I'm a sucker for tote bags. Just because they are so simple, with few details. But that's when the small details matter. Like, the night is full of stars shining down at you. You won't know the names of all, because there are so many. But imagine if there were only three stars each night. Then they would get more attention. Does this make sense? I'm sorry, I'm just really bad at explaining. 2. Sigh No More by Mumford & Sons. I've actually been wanting this since last march. The girl at the counter actually asked if I was sure if I wanted the old one. And I just nodded, and answered "yes, it's my favorite". And the thing is, I've already got four favorite songs from this album. And I love it when I actually love several songs in one album. Actually, I love it when I fall in love with another song. A song that doesn't get that much buzz about it. It's like finding a diamond in the ocean. 3. A lunch box, because I needed one. And it's got the Coca Cola logo on it. And though I don't really drink Coca Cola, I'm very fond of vintage-looking things. And this just caught my sight. And well, now it's mine. 4. A beanie. Because I seem to buy a new one each year. Not because I collect beanies, just because I tend to lose them somehow. This is a grey one. Last years' was a navy blue one (I love navy blue. Give me something navy blue and I'll be overjoyed). But I'm pretty sure my dad stole it off me. Also, it's been getting increasingly cold here after Christmas times. And so, yeah.
I ended up sleeping over at my best friends yesterday. It wasn't in my plans, because I've slept over at someones place for the last four weekends now. And therefore I was actually planning not to sleep over at someones place this weekend. But as we were driving, I was asked "are you coming home to us?". Because that's usually what I do. And then I was like, well, I don't know? And then it kind of stopped for me. Almost like I was a contestant in a quiz game on the television, and I was just asked about the million-dollar question. (I'm listening to Sigh No More as I'm writing this, and oh my god, I think I've already got a new favorite??). Nevertheless, I ended up falling asleep embarrassingly early. Sorry about that, best friend. But I was knackered. And it's just that, for the past four weekends, I've been staying up for so late. And I just couldn't bare the thought of staying up til 4-6 am in the morning. I'm going to try finish reading The Hobbit today, whilst eating chocolate and drinking tea. Lovely Saturday to you all!

they say she's in the class a team, stuck in her daydream, been this way since 18 but lately her face seems slowly sinking, wasting
Please do excuse my forgetfulness. Yesterday must have been spent ogling at pictures of this five member-boy band, which is making me quite a lunatic these days. Despite the lack of sleep and my body telling me to stay, sleep, I went to school today. And I cannot decide whether I’m glad with my decision, or irritated. The bus was very very late, and my feet were freezing. Sure, I suppose I could have used another pair of shoes, perhaps winter boots would fit better than Converse. Anyhow, my feet froze, and then my train was delayed. And everything seemed to scream ha, you should have stayed in bed. But I am home in my bed now, and the coldness is long gone. However, my eyelids feel heavy, and sleep seems so alluring. I did say Bon Nuit quite late yesterday, and somehow I awoke at a very early hour. Much earlier than my alarm is set for. And I suppose my body just decided that no, you are not falling asleep any time soon.
The good news today is that my possible favorite musician, Ed Sheeran, is nominated for a Grammy. He is nominated in the category; song of the year with A-Team. Course, maybe it would be slightly biased when I say I think he deserves to win. However, compared lyrically, I really do believe it should be the winner. And it will absolutely sadden me if Call Me Maybe wins over A-Team. I'd let out a disbelievingly laugh and then just be morose for the rest of the day. I must not forget the most important thing here though, he did get nominated. The thing about the Grammys is that it’s serious. As in, they really think about who to nominate, and it is not necessarily the current popular song on the radio stations, though I am not saying that all of them are bad. It's just that they are very thorough with deciding the nominations.
It also makes my heart warm that a lot of my favorite artists and songs at the moment are nominated. Including, The Lumineers, Hunter Hayes, Frank Ocean, Adele, Mumford and Sons, The Black Keyes, Coldplay, Drake, The Civil Wars, etc. Now, I have to go back to studying. Well, to be truthful, I will most likely finish reading another fiction while filling my empty stomach.
