wake me up when it's all over, when I'm wiser and I'm older

It's a bit later than I had estimated to post this blogpost, but that's mostly because we've been watching Oblivion with Tom Cruise. Admittedly I thought it said "Tom Hanks", not Tom Cruise. You see-- I'm not so very fond of Tom Cruise, because I think he's a very static actor. To me he plays very similar roles with similar traits, and it's always action, isn't it? The movie was fine though, it was a very interesting plot, and I do love things that are about oblivion, because it's such an interesting subject. My sister and I landed on the airport at 10:30 am, and we were picked up shortly after, before we went to Alnes. And we even had a little (well, actually quite big) BBQ despite the rain. I think when you live in a place where it's mostly shitty weather all year around, a little rain equals nothing. Anyway, it was a really idyllic place, and we got to see surfers in action. And I'm really fond of the ocean anyways, and the sound of crashing waves. It's just really nice and peaceful. I was actually busy looking at my camera for a bit, that I didn't see a really big wave, causing the water to almost drench my shoes. But I looked up in the last minute, so that was very fortunate for me. I've mostly spent the rest of the day trying on dresses for my eldest sisters wedding next year. And I know I'm a bit thin-- but it's like every dress is too big on me. These were dresses of my eldest sister. And despite the fact that she is the eldest, she is also the smallest in height. I also went to the mall a few weeks ago and tried on two gorgeous dresses for the wedding. But shock-- they were too big. After that I spent hours going through wedding magazines, because there's still a lot of planning to do. If you didn't already know, I quite enjoy taking pictures. It's one of my favorite hobbies. But I'm far from being good-- I'm what you can call a "noob". Newbie, or what you want to call it. But my sister asked if I didn't want to take a few pictures on the wedding day. And it's not like I didn't see it coming. She was like "my friend (she said her name, because I know this person) is actually making the wedding cake!" and I answered "oh cool, have you decided the design of the wedding cake already?". She proceeded to say: "Oh no, not yet. Anyway, I thought if you'd want to contribute a bit too, you could maybe take a few pictures for us?". For a second there I thought she wanted me to bake something too. I didn't say no to her, I just said that a wedding photographer is probably one of the most important things in a wedding. She agreed, and told me they had a photographer for the "serious" pictures, but that she wanted me to take a few pictures from when she is getting ready, and sort of "behind the scenes" pictures. I told her I'd think about it. But this does give me a valid excuse for investing in a camera. I've made myself a playlist on Youtube called "Good vibe", because the songs make me really happy and giddy. It consist of Burn by Ellie Goulding, Love Me Again by John Newman, Wake Me Up by Avicii, Feel The Love by Hoodie Allen, and Lucky Man by Hoodie Allen. I'm the only person awake in this house, as my sister and Grepper (I'm still going to make that blogpost for all the people I mention on this blog, soz for now). Scott (my eldest sisters dog) is curled up in the middle of the blanket on the sofa. Egon (also my eldest sisters other dog) however, is standing by the door. I think he might want to go out? I don't quite know yet, but I'm going to bed now. Don't think I can actually finish watching this Gordon Ramsay episode, because the chef is making me so aggravated. Bon nuit.

let's go somewhere, because on a night like tonight, I kinda feel like anything's possible

I ended up watching quite a few FunForLouis vlogs last night, because I just cannot get enough of the British crew in America. Also, Louis is really great at making vlogs-- he's just so bloody good at filming and editing. I woke up at 10:00 am today, which means I've had nine hours of sleep. Not bad. Ended up watching the Grand Designs episode whilst eating breakfast, instead of last night. I didn't do any packing last night either, so I ended up doing it today, and I'm sort of done. I say sort of, because I've most likely forgotten something even if I did write a list of what to bring. I also washed my make up brushes today, which I was supposed to do on Thursday, but I also forgot about that. I'm just hoping they'll dry quickly. I've also been to the post office for a short visit. And oh my god, when I got out from the mall (the post office is in our local mall) there was a lady on the ground on the other side of the road. She was basically rolling around a bit. Another man and I both noticed it at the same time, and we both went towards her. He helped her up, and I asked if she was okay. She said she was okay, and thanked for the concern. She looked okay and she was fine to walk, but it was on my mind for the rest of the walk home. And I was thinking about the Shaytards and that one time I was watching a vlog where Shay mentions the story about some girl that's being attacked, but no one helps her because everyone assumes that someone is going to help her, and then nobody ends up helping her. Yeah, I kept wondering if anyone else saw the lady fall, and if they just walked by. I didn't see her fall, I just saw her lying on the ground. Anyway, lesson is that you should help no matter what. I've been listening to Lucky Man by Hoodie Allen, and it's such a good tune! Makes me smile. Now I'm listening to Same Love by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, because I just love it so badly. Speaking of homosexuality-- In 2014 the Winter Olympics will be hosted in Russia. The president of Russia is Vladimir Putin, whom you've probably heard of before? Well, he recently signed a law "allowing the police to arrest tourists and foreigners suspected of being gay or pro-gay and detain them for up to 14 days. He also signed a bill classifying “homosexual” propaganda as pornography [...]". The quote is from an article called "Mr. Putin’s War on Gays", which you should read (as always, there's a link here). Basically, every attendant in the Winter Olympics 2014 that are suspected to be gay would run the chance of getting sent to jail. That's not the most important factor, it's the fact that Putin is trying to vaporize every trace of homosexuality. I just hope that the Winter Olympics will somehow give this problem more attention, because this shouldn't happen. Not today, not yesterday and not in a hundred years. A lot of people have made comparisons between Putin and Hitler-- and I can see why. Three days ago, Stephen Fry wrote an open letter to David Cameron and the IOC (International Olympic Committee), which I'll link to as well. I rarely invest time in politics, but I feel that homophobia is such a ridiculous problem. And it's something so fundamental for a human being-- their sexuality. Either they are homosexual, heterosexual, bisexual, pansexual, asexual, etc. I just don't understand how people can make a persons sexuality into a problem, when we've got so much more problems that are real. It just makes me infuriated, and it's something that I abhor about religion. I don't belong to any religion, but I am probably more religious than others. I do pray quite frequently, even if it's not any traditional way of praying. I've been praying for a couple that are friends with my eldest sisters. They've been trying to have kids, but because of biological reasons it's not been possible. Nevertheless I've been praying for them to get a child somehow, because there are some people in this world who truly deserves being parents-- and this couple is one of them. And guess what? They might have a child waiting for them in Africa now. I'm just so happy for them. Back to the point though, I'm a person that sort of chooses values and traits from each religion, rather than following just one. Because I can find a fault in every religion-- and that's not so odd, when it's human beings that have developed the religions. And likewise with everything else, there's always going to be faults in everything human develops. But that's why we learn from our mistakes and keep learning and developing. And we keep on going like that forever. But that's not really the case with religion. It's like we've paused everything, and doing the same mistakes over and over. And it just bothers me a lot, because I honestly believe religion ruins a lot in this world. I'm not going to say I wish religion didn't exist, because that's not it. I believe that religion helps a lot of people in search of finding purpose with life. And there are so many positive aspects with religion, so I would never want for religions to vanish. I just wish people could see the big picture. Anyway, wow, a lot of politics and personal opinions in this post. Sorry about that. I'm going to clean my room, jump in the shower and pack the last bits and whatnot. Tomorrow we're going to a really nice place according to my eldest sister. Admittedly she's not been there before, but she's heard a lot about it from her friends. And well, I do love nature. I guess you can expect to see a lot of pictures of nature-- I even deleted all the pictures on my camera. Now I just need to delete some in my "summer" folder and I'm ready to go.

it's just words and they cut deep but it's our world, it's just us two

For the past week I've been stopping at my mail box to see if my packages have arrived. And I had given up yesterday, figured I'd maybe just read Lord of The Rings on my phone, which I was supposed to read this summer. But when I got home from work today, they were here! Both of my lovely books by Tony Parsons. I've already started on Man and Wife. But I fell asleep on the trampoline shortly after, not because it was boring. Mostly because I was tired, and the sun tends to make me tired. Tired + tired = super tired. I was awoken by a call from my oldest sister. She was wondering about when our plane lands and likewise. Yesterday I went to the mall in order to do a few errands, and to cross off some of the things on my "to do" list. One of which was to buy butter-- and the main reason why I even bothered walking to the mall. Of course I forgot that. Instead I came home with three glasses. It appears that I have a thing for cups and glasses? This (the picture) is the only one I've used, and probably will use. The other two are packed away, for the future some time. I'm currently drinking pear lemonade from the glass, and it's actually quite humongous in the width. When I showed it to my younger sister, she said it looked a bit like a whiskey/scotch glass. And yeah, it sort of does. It's not so big in the height, but it still reminds me of Jules from Cougar Town and her ridiculous wine "glasses". Anyway, I'm in love with it. When I got home from the mall I sort of didn't do any of the things I had on my "to do" list, including the packing. Which, I've not done today either. I have however, done all the things except for the packing on my "to do" list today. It's just that I was watching Grand Designs last night, and instead of packing after watching the episode, I started watching a TV-series called Fødeavdelingen, which translates to maternity ward. It's another of my favorite television shows, but my family isn't that keen on watching women pressing babies out of their vagina. So I don't watch it to often-- only when no one is eating. Haha. The last day of work was actually really nice. There was this little kid who scolded his dad for not taking off his shoes. It's possibly some of the cutest things I've ever seen. I feel like a chapter of my life is done. And it sort of is-- it's not like I'm getting those five weeks back. But it's fine, I've truthfully had a good time. And I'm actually going to miss a lot of the people there. There's this woman who works there, and I swear, she's got the greatest aura ever. It's like she's radiating happiness. I've actually never once seen a frown on her face. Anyway, I've not watched the episode of Grand Designs today-- I actually record all of the episodes. But I might do it later when everyone else has decided to go to bed. Might do that, or do my packing. Or sleep forever, although forever probably means I'll wake up bright and early because I'm so used to it by now. Look What You've Done by Drake is amazing. Greatest lyrics ever, probably. Give it a listen whilst you're reading the lyrics! Alright, I actually think I have to go to bed, because I'm bloody knackered. I'm exactly twenty years and one month. I'm old. And I'm in need for some sleep.

maybe I'm too afraid to say I think about you every second of the day

Oh my god, it's here. My belieber friend told me she didn't think it would arrive, which is why I said "oh my god" out loud when I went to get the mail. My younger sister looked at me weirdly and asked me "why are all of your friends sending you postcards?". I keep thinking of the old days. Of old authors, and what we remember of them. You know, like how we've discovered old letters to friends and their beloved ones? It's odd and slightly sad, because that will probably never happen to the authors today. They'll die and be forgotten. I don't know, I just like going through old diaries and letters and whatnot. They make me smile. The postcard is sort of in 3D? Hence why it looks a bit odd in the picture. Until this week, I've actually been looking forward to work-- like, not that I really want to go to work rather than sleeping in. But I've had no problem with waking up and going to work, and just be happy? More often than not, I go around forcing myself to think of happy thoughts when I get negative. And it actually works very well! This week however, started off a bit rough. And then came Tuesday, which was a particularly bad day for me. And I thought yesterday would be the same, but it wasn't. Yesterday was actually really nice. And maybe it was the weather too. According to my Snapchat yesterday, it seems like the good weather was apparent most places. We had a gorgeous sunset, and I snapped a few pictures. Actually, I was lying on the trampoline after work yesterday, and I was trying to understand why there were so many birds flying together, but not together as in when they make this V-shape. It was really nice, because they were above me, and birds are really pretty from a distance. I am however not such a big fan of them when they come flying into your living room and poops every where. Today at work was good too. Wished Stone a good Eid, cycled home in the rain which I've been wanting to for awhile. I must say though, it's not so great cycling in the rain without glasses. The percentage of death rate probably increased a lot. Which probably is the thing I think about the most whilst cycling to work. I keep having daydreams about getting smashed to bones by some car that hits me in the side. Or somehow shot at in the woods, because of course there's going to be a killer lurking in the woods. Either way, I'm always dying. I've got a lot of things I have to do today, so I think I might go jump in the shower soon. I also think I have to do my packing today, because tomorrow and Saturday will be rather busy. I probably will have some time on Saturday though-- but I always start packing a few days before, because I tend to remember things along the way. Holy shit, just got an e-mail about the This Is Us movie! The tickets are on sale today. And apparently there's a screening before? On August 21st? But it's all sold out. I have a feeling I'm going to watch this movie multiple times at the cinema. Oh poor wallet of mine. Imagine me moping-- I don't think my books will arrive before I go to Aalesund, and I could just cry. Tomorrow is Friday and my last day of work. Thank god for that, although I'm ever so grateful for my summer job. But it's been five weeks, and it's enough to tire me out entirely. I'm still grateful though, when I start thinking of other people and their frustrations. My summer job always keep me sane from my thoughts about what I'm going to do in life. It's stopping me from having my midlife crisis at twenty (or quarter-life-crisis?). Hopefully it'll be a bit of sun tomorrow, because I could really need some. Anyway, I'm going now.

all your friends telling you stories that you often misinterpret and taint all your images of your "Mr. Perfect"

Erarehuanmsjgslefgesjsd. Sometimes if I have too much on my brain, I don't know where to start. This is one of those times. I had a rant to my sister yesterday, about Youtubers. I just really want to be their friends (super-sighing). Aaaahhh I'm being attacked by flies! Go on, save yourself. Alright, so they retreated to .. somewhere else. This reminds me: I saw three spiders at work yesterday. And they weren't exactly small either. I was however too busy to take picture of them, because the kindergarten has sort of started again. Meaning that summer is over, and most kids are back from their holidays. Not everyone, but a lot. And it's the most horrible thing I've ever experienced (err, slightly hyperbole). It's just that I've always associated my summer job with peace and quiet, which seems absurd considering I'm washing in a kindergarten. However, there's usually so little kids, and when I do mop the floors or whatever I'm up to, the kids are usually outside. But it was pouring down with rain yesterday, which means all the kids were inside. And I was so close to exploding because aaaahhhh. Have you ever heard the sound of the footsteps of twenty kids running towards you? It's not that pleasant. But to be fair, it's not anyone's fault. It's just that I like calm things, not wailing children. Also, my anger seemed to dissipate when I had a little conversation with two adorable children. They were making their own restaurant, and so one of them asked me if I could be their restaurants washing lady. It was so cute. Also, kids are so curious. I've had a kid staring at me washing the windows. Like, mouth agape, pointing at me to show their parents. It's also happened with vacuuming, washing mirrors, etc. On Tuesday I also happened to have an awkward hug-situation with Stone. I went to the basement in order to get some suppliants, and there was Stone with a bunch of kids. "Hi! How are you?". And then he just put out his arms? And I was like "I'm a bit tired, loads of things to do today, but I'm hanging there". And then he said "yeah, there's loads of kids here today" and something else too, because he never stops talking. But here's the thing, he was still standing with his arms stretched out to the sides, and I was like "err, do you want a hug?". He said yes, and I thought that although it's slightly odd, it can't hurt. I had a rant about my day to Oyster, because I was supposed to stop by and get my dress that's been living at her house for a month or so. "Stop by" turned into 80 minutes where I was mostly eating. Two slices of bread and a cup of water. Apparently I can use over an hour eating just that. Yep. Oyster's little sister (I'm going to call her Mars from now on, because it's my nick name for her. Also, I am going to do a post of all the people I've mentioned on this blog and link them to each name, so it's not so confusing. Especially if I can't remember it myself) was very amused by this, and the time it took me to chew each bite. Now, I don't actually spend that much time eating, but there's a reason why I mostly stay quiet whilst eating. Otherwise it takes me soooo long time. My Youtube is being really wonky. My knee too. Does that mean that Niall and I are soul mates? We'll live happily with wonky knees ever after? Speaking of One Direction, because I'm always speaking of One Direction, get over it-- I accidentally watched a clip from their movie. I didn't even realise until two minutes in. "Oooh, this is a really good video. Great interview. Heeeeeeeyyy, this looks like film? Wait, it is!!". I wasn't saying this out loud. This is my actual thoughts when watching the video. It sucks because the movie isn't out until a month in Norway. And I know the first premiere is in like three weeks or so. And my Tumblr dashboard will be filled with gifs and whatnot. And I don't want to see any of those before I watch the movie. And that means I'll have to stay away from Tumblr for a week. And then try to go through everything after I've seen the movie. That's.. I don't think you understand. I'm pretty sure I'm verging over to having an addiction to Tumblr. So it'll definitely be a test. I think maybe the weathergods are on my side? They seem to be very kind to me-- stops raining when I'm biking home, and the sun peaks out when I wish for it enough. Of course I've jinxed it now, and the weather in Aalesund will be absolutely horrendous, and I'll not be able to take one step at the mountain. Oh, that reminds me that I should think of packing. It's not so easy packing for a place where the weather can be everything from nice to a storm in minutes. My broseph is going to Japan tomorrow, so tonight is the last I'll see of him for ten days I think. If I actually do see him again. You never know with my brother-- he'll be gone for months, and then one day you'll see his shoes and his jacket in your house. Voilaaaaa. Anyway, I'm going to eat whilst watching an episode of Grand Designs. Because I love Kevin McCloud. And just Grand Designs in general.
