girl put your records on, tell me your favorite song

When the ten first tweets on my Twitter feed is about Wimbledon, I know I follow a lot of British people. It's hard for me to put words to yesterday. Hands down, I've never had a better birthday celebration. The weather was on our side- sun, blue sky and warm wind. I wore a summery dress and heels (!). I bought new heels on Friday- wearable ones. I've got a few pairs of heels, but few of which I use. But the ones I wore yesterday have a really thick heel, making it easier to walk in. So I even wore them on my way on the bus. Although I did hold onto my belieber friend like I was going to die. We ate at Eataly, and I had pasta. Because I love pasta. And we drank vine, although I'm thinking of reducing the amount of my vine-intake (not that I drink a lot of vine, it's rather a little amount) because my skin really dislike it. We had a fun time trying to decide where our waiter was from, because it seemed like he understood Norwegian, and spoke a mix of English and Swedish? Anyway, we had to speak English, and you know how awkward it is to switch from speaking Norwegian to English? If you try saying "Hi, I live in Rørstad and my name is crocodile". You kind of get tossed off in the middle of the sentence when you say Rørstad, and for the rest of the sentence you sound a bit like Petter Solberg. Oh well. We were probably the youngest people in the restaurant, and we might have been a bit loud. But we had a lot of fun. And my belieber friend and I were oddly synchronized in the musical area last night. For my birthday wishes this year, I wrote a list of 20 things I wanted-- because, well, I turn 20. And I'm cheesy like that. I got so much of what I wanted, and things I didn't realise I wanted either. I'm not much of a material person in the sense where I want the most expensive things in gifts. Which is why my birthday celebration last night was my favorite ever. I asked for drawings, and I got a painting from Marble. And it made me speechless, because what the hell? That was not what I had expected at all. Years ago Oyster's younger sister made a self portrait, and I found it so fascinating. And because I liked it so much, I got it. And it's been resting here in my bedroom ever since. And I have no doubt that the painting Marble made for me will go with me wherever I go. Right now I'm listening to the two playlists that Kiwi made for me. She also got me-- was it three other CD's(!!!!)?, but to be completely honest. I'd be more than happy with the two playlists. She even made me a commentary on a sheet for the songs, and I don't know which songs they are until I listen to them. And I just-- I can't believe the did that for me. I'm like laughing and grinning like an idiot for each song. I'm grateful for every gift. More so I'm just so so happy and grateful for my friends. You know what we did last night? After dining, we actually took pictures. I've sort of been nagging at my friends to take pictures at the end of Tjuvholmen because I find it so incredibly beautiful. It's actually my favorite place at the moment. I wish I could have sat there for ages last night. It's just so peaceful and soothing. I also ventured out in the water. Had I brought a bathing suit and a towel, and if the water was a bit deeper, I'd go for a swim. No doubt. It was actually really warm, which is odd seeing as it's part of the Oslofjord. Instead of going home to my own bed, I actually tagged along to Marble. At the train home she was just chatting about being home alone, and mockingly saying "I'll have to take care of myself". And said, whilst pointing at the DVD I got from her: "well, we could watch this at your place". And well, we did. And we ended up going to bed at 3:00 am. But because she was actually going on her boat with her parents today, we had to wake up early. And I was at home by 12:00 am. I had originally planned on using this Sunday for being a tourist and going to the museum. But my belieber friend is packing and getting ready for her vacation. And Sugar had plans today. And since Kiwi and I had originally planned for all of us to do this "tourist in Oslo" week (more like a month), we've decided to postpone it to next week.  I've spent the day finishing reading DU VET IKKE HVEM JEG ER by Line Nyborg in the sun, and started reading Meg eier ingen by Åsa Linderborg. Oh noo, the second playlist, or shall I call it the "avocado" playlist just ended. Alright, might as well listen to Babel by Mumford & Sons. Funny story, I got two copies of that CD. Gotta love 'em, yeah? Oh, we also had a BBQ just now. I suspect my broseph was planning on having a BBQ yesterday, but I went off to celebrate my birthday. And I think they might have postponed the BBQ today just because I was gone. Sigh, I've got the best friends and family. Life is just so good right now. Alright, I'm going downstairs to do the dishes. And then maybe watch one of the many movies Kiwi has urged me to watch.

du finner meg aldrien for eg har gått av stien, her polizei.

Oh. I've heard Pretty Brown Eyes by Cody Simpson in the stores so much that I quite like it now. Anyway, I finally went to the library and the mall today. I was just supposed to deliver some books, but I figured I should try find some other books. I found two books, both in Norwegian. And the thing is, I've been wanting to read Meg eier ingen ever since I first came across it in the book store a year ago (or more). Two years ago I wrote something they call "særemne" in Norwegian, and I'd chosen the theme alcoholism and children. Not meaning children addicted to alcohol, but having alcoholics as parents. I based my paper off three books about the subject, and one of them were Bare mamma som er Gud. One of the things I wrote on my list of "what to do for summer", was to re-read some of the books I read for my "særemne". As it was only Bare mamma som er Gud that was available in the library, I read that. I didn't just read it because I thought it would be fun to re-read books. I read it again, because it's one of the most interesting books I've ever read. When I was looking for a new book to read, I firstly looked at the recommended ones, and DU VET IKKE HVEM JEG ER was one of them. I thought it looked very familiar, so I read the description, and it turns out that it's the sequel to Bare mamma som er Gud. So hey, obviously I've got to read that too-- I've already started. Meg eier ingen is also about alcoholism through the eyes of a child, and it is because of the "særemne" that I wanted to read this when I saw it in the book store all that time ago. With two new books to read in my bag, I went to the mall that's literally next to the library. I was looking for a dress for tomorrow. But it seems like the world is against me, because I could not find any dress. But I went to Boots, because  I needed to restock hand cream and body butter. I usually go for the SpaResource coconut hand cream and matching body butter. But I figured I should try some Soap & Glory products. Plus it was 3 for 2. I've only tried the "Hand Food" hand cream. I'm not quite sure what I think of the scent. I'm so used to my coconut hand cream, but this smells a bit more of perfume. I do however, think the hand creme itself is really good. I'm exited to try all the products out. I'm still in a hunt for a great face cream. And I'm soon running out of my Origins GinZing eye cream and my Bioderma cleaning water. (insert sad smiley faces). I need to find new replacements! Oh my god, I think maybe I'm going to become a "mixer". Kiwi and I was talking about our fondness for Little Mix the other day. I just really love them. They are brilliant singers, they have a really fun style- and personalities. And they're all just great friends. And their accents(!) And they remind me of Spice Girls. Also I'm sort of in love with Perrie because her personality reminds me of Niall's personality. Maybe I should buy their album too, I mean-- Zayn has definitely been urging everyone to buy their album via Twitter. To be fair, I think Zayn spends more time promoting other acts than his own band on Twitter. It's quite hilarious. Also, I might have become obsessed with Die Polizei by Kaizers Orchestra, after watching a video Kiwi recommended. It's been my goodnight tune for the last two days. Alright, I might try finish reading DU VET IKKE HVEM JEG ER today.

we can write stories bout the journeys that we made

Hiya! On Monday I was gifted these black chuck taylor's from my sister. I've been wanting new Converse for ages-- I've just been broke and unsure whether I wanted Converse or Vans. But when my sister asked me what I wanted for my birthday, this was my immediate wish. I'd already tried them on in the store with Oyster ages ago. There's something weird about new Converse; they are so incredibly clean, it's odd to me. I reckon they'll be wrecked with love. The Ikea trip was cancelled today, which was a bit disappointing. But I think it might have been for the best, seeing as I felt a bit under the weather. It means I skipped going to the library and the mall yet again. But I made pancakes for breakfast, and I had a prawn/avocado/tomato salad for dinner. So that was really good. But then I felt really tired and had a nap from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm. And now I'm here. It's been a rather uneventful day. But oh my god, I watched the first episode of the new Skins series yesterday. And it was just so good. And christ, Effy is back. I'm just not quite sure how I feel about this Effy. Thank god it's a second part coming next week. I just felt really sucked back to Skins and the second generation. Maybe I'll have to rewatch it all. Maybe. Arrrr, I'm looking at pictures of One Direction, and Eleanor happens to be with them right now. And of bloody course there are people commenting on the pictures, calling her a "beard", which basically means a fake girlfriend. I just cannot understand some people.  It's like people looking at a picture and basing their whole relationship from it "oh, they're obviously not together-- look, they aren't even smiling". The worst part is when people thinks it's okay to say their girlfriends are ugly. It's like- I would love to personally punch you. Great, thanks. I mean, I wonder if I feel such an urge of punching people, what do celebrities feel when their closest are attacked by their "fans"? I just-- why are people so stupid? Please do tell me that. I really want an answer for it.

come away with me, think of all the places we could be

Sometimes I get so happy it feels like my chest is bursting with the feeling, and my face aches from grinning so wide. It's like I cannot contain myself, and everything I feel on the inside is tearing it's way out. I had originally planned to go to the mall and the library today, seeing as I skipped out on it yesterday. I did finish watching the footage from Glasto, and when I had finished watching Mumford and Sons, I felt really giddy. It almost felt as if I'd been there, and I was just overcome with a wish of attending a Mumford and Sons concert. But Kiwi told me today they've already been here. And I think I knew they were here-- I just didn't have the wish to go. There are loads of artists I enjoy, but there are actually few of them I'd love to watch live. So far I wish to see One Direction, Jonas Brothers (mostly Nick Jonas-- maybe if Nick Jonas & The Administration were to do another album), Ed Sheeran, Mumford and Sons, Adele, and Tom Odell. Possibly Kodaline too. There are probably more to come in the future, but these are my wants now-- it wasn't intended to write in any order, but I think maybe my sub conscience is telling me the order of which artists I'd like to watch the most, because it's in a mostly accurate order. I didn't go the the mall and library today because Sugar and Kiwi was meeting up in Oslo, and asked me and my belieber friend to join. And well, I joined, because it's been ages since I've seen them. At least it feels like it. My belieber friend had to pass though, as she had already made plans. We went to Starbucks, which I thought I had written off, but Kiwi hadn't been there before. And the mango juice or whatever it is called, is still lovely. In fact, we all ordered the same thing. After sitting down for a bit, we wandered the stores in order to find a dress for Kiwi.   After walking out of some clothing store, we were about to cross the street, and I saw this man walking out of narrow pathway, and it looked so incredibly cozy, so I asked if we could walk through. And well, it was really nice. And inside there were loads of chairs and tables preoccupied by people. And there were this jazzclub, if I'm not entirely wrong. Everything was just so charming, it felt like I'd found a treasure. The only thing is that the age limit was 22? And hah- I've not even turned 20 yet. My dreams of becoming a regular attendant at jazz clubs was shattered. Sugar left us at 2:00 pm, because she had work-- probably still is at work in this very moment I am writing this. Kiwi and I continued on our search for a dress-- both for me and Kiwi. In midst of the search for a dress, I dragged Kiwi with me through a street in a search for Muji, the Japanese store I once wrote about. Well, I don't know if it's Japanese, but I'm pretty sure all the products are made in Japan. I fell in love with the store when I was in London last year, and basically I bought a pen from Muji last year. And I've used it for my drawings and whatnot. Until it was emptied for ink. Ever since, I've used my pen I was gifted from my grandfather, but it just isn't the equivalent. I have been nagging about finding a new pen for ages, Sugar will know this. And I have actually known Muji existed somewhere in Oslo, but I rarely walk the streets where it's located, and I've just accustomed to using my other pen when drawing. So I've never actually bothered to find Muji. Except, today we were walking past the street, and I thought why not? And it's so ridiculous that these pens can make me so incredibly happy. I'm seriously just staring at them in happiness right now. That's how happy I am about finding my pen again. Muji isn't a store by itself here in Norway, it's apart of another interior store, so it doesn't have the same selection (it's barely anything in there). But they did sell my pens, and other stationary and what they're mostly known for- storage. When we ventured outside again, we went through a little market that sold the regular things like rings and hats. But they also sold used CD's and vinyls. It reminded me of this store in Trondheim that sold old books and CD's. So I told Kiwi that I wish there was a store that sold secondhand books and whatnot. And apparently she knew of one-- just not quite where the location was. So we wandered around for a bit,  before Kiwi decided that she didn't quite remember where it was, considering she'd been there three years ago? We headed back to Oslo City, the mall, and went to look after a dress. And then I was exhausted, so I asked Kiwi if we could find a place to sit down. I ended up drinking an apple and cinnamon tea and a chocolate bun, whilst Kiwi was drinking regular earl grey tea only. I tried forcing some of my chocolate bun on Kiwi, but apparently she can be quite stubborn. The thing about Kiwi and I, is that we share a quite similar taste in music and movies. And we've recently decided that we are going to be tourists in Oslo. We've nearly spent every day of the whole last year in Oslo. And we know close to nothing about the city. It's got so many different aspects and places, and we tend to always go to the same places. So Kiwi and I have decided to drag the rest of the kilo-gang along with us. Tomorrow we're going to Ikea, I think. Just because Kiwi is moving to a new place, and well, I love Ikea. My belieber friend hates it, I think. I just love interior and dreaming away. And Ikea is like my second home. Anyway, I went home at 5:00 pm, after chatting with Kiwi and getting recommendations of movies to watch. I went to Oslo at 10:00 am, so it's safe to say I was knackered when I got home. You know when your eyes burn with tiredness? Yeah. I finished reading a fan fiction I started today, and it was lovely. It's just when people write with such an effortless slide-- like the words are meant to be-- I just cannot help but be amazed. Alright-- I think I might do some drawing now. Which reminds me, I actually wished for a drawing from the kilo-gang for my birthday. I still really wish that. And I am going to be severely disappointed if you don't give me one. It doesn't even have to be nice guys. Pretty please.

we never had that much to do, so we just lay around in someone’s house

This is the only thing I bought at the mall today. I've got a thing for dainty necklaces, although I never seem to wear any necklaces. But when I do, they tend to me these dainty ones. I was on a look for a dress too, but I couldn't find any-- not that I was looking that hard. I might do some lonesome wandering at the mall tomorrow. We ate lunch at Eataly, which is where I'm eating for my birthday too, except it's in Oslo. Well, I'm probably going out to eat for my birthday with my family too. My eldest sister and co left a few hours ago, and I've finally got my bed back. I was sleeping on these incredibly thin mattresses in my sisters bedroom because I couldn't be bothered to drag up a proper mattress. But they are all coming back next week. And then my other sister will come in two weeks. And it'll be a proper family gathering. I just found out today that my brother is thinking of going to Japan, which probably shouldn't be as shocking as it was to me, considering it's been a dream of his for years. My siblings are all very fond of travelling. I think that's the one thing we all have in common. One of my goals this summer is to find a destination I want to travel. Make a proper plan and properly investigate somewhere. My eldest sister told me she and our other sister (including me, we are four sisters..) was planning on taking a trip at the end of the vacation. But with school and everything, I don't think I can travel then. Oh god, I try to avoid reading status updates on Facebook, because it seems like everyone's got everything figured out. Sure, I know that's so incredibly untrue. But still, oh, so you and your boyfriend of three years bought a house together? BOUGHT a HOUSE? Oh, alright. (I flopped down on my bed and stared at the ceiling whilst pondering my life). I should mention this person is just as old as me. And this isn't the only case, it's one in a billion (alright, so maybe a bit exaggeration here) cases that hits my face each day. I just really envy people that knows what they want to do in life. Anyway, it seems that I should also add Long Way Down by Tom Odell in my CD collection. I might wish for it for my birthday from my family. There are just so much great new music at the moment.  I sort of want to buy Lewis Watson's EP's, because so far I've just listened to his songs on random playlists on 8tracks. But I have a feeling that he's going to record an album soon, and it'll include most of the songs on the EP's he's got out. OH, did I mention it's July? Yeah, time passes so incredibly fast. To me, July means my birthday, my summer job, family and One Direction (release of Best Song Ever (double parenthesis to emphasize that I cringe whenever I hear that name) and the music video for it too .. I think). I'm going to spend most of my morning tomorrow watching footage from Glastonbury Festival 2013. And that's all I have planned for certain. The week however, I'm going to put an effort in to spend with friends. Especially since I think I might get a bit preoccupied once my whole family will be gathered. And when I start working. Alright, I must go and try not to fall asleep too late.
