you enchant me even when you're not around

Yesterday was quite exhausting. I don't know why, because there weren't more to do than usual (at least I think). But I had a lot of tasks to do yesterday, and I was independent in most of the things I did. My nurse supervisor kept asking me if I wanted her to come along, because I think she knows that I'm able to do things by myself now, just might need moral support sometimes. But I said no to most of the things, and it was nice doing things by myself. I don't ever hesitate to ask for help though. You shouldn't ever do things you're unsure of. At 9:30 pm I felt a bit like dozing off to be honest. I was supposed to take care of a burn with a coworker. She asked me if I wanted to do it, or if she should do it. I told her to do it because I was so exhausted. This particular woman has a dialect quite alike my own, so I could feel my brain almost slip up quite a few times. And that's when I know I'm really tired. Luckily I got to go home a little early. I had almost forgotten about Steal My Girl yesterday when I got home, but I listened to it in the dark, in my bed. And my jaw was honestly agape throughout the first part. The preview is nothing like the rest of the song? I quite like it, alright (lols). But I can't believe they've chosen it for their first single? It's really confusing because the lyrics are quite young-ish and very poppy. But I think the song itself, the choice of instruments is not the typical poppy thing? I don't know how to explain it, I've never been very good with words. I don't think it'll do very well, but it's hard to predict how music will be received. Speaking of music, I've been listening to covers of Latch so much lately. I just really love that song, and I especially enjoy listening to Daniela Andrade's version, Kodaline's and this lad from X Factor. I do also enjoy listening to Sam singing it acoustic. Anyway, I woke up at 8:30 am today, and I probably could have slept even longer. I watched yesterday's episode of X Factor, which was quite emotional. And I will admit that I shed some tears. I'm just a bit sad the live shows are starting soon, because I've never been fond of those, whatever TV-program it is. I am a bit worried about how I'll be able to get home, have a shower, finish packing and be in the airport at time tomorrow. But I'm just going to think of Tim Gunn's words: "make it work". I really can't wait, been looking forward to it. Told my nurse supervisor about it yesterday, and it made me even more excited. Also, I'm planning to try watch Cloud Atlas sometime. Some time everyone's asleep so Grepper doesn't mock me. I am currently listening to "Happy Monday" on the Breakfast Show with Grimmy, and they're playing Teenage Dirtbag. Remember when that tune was haunting me? Ah, good memories, that. Now I'm also feeling nostalgic about One Direction's Take Me Home Tour. Goodness, I'll probably never forget about that concert. I just saw a few pictures and videos of them performing in Charlotte, and it seems like the venue and stage was a lot smaller. And it just looked so nice. I do hope they'll go back to regular stages sometime, as it feels a bit more personal, innit? Erm, I just want you to read this joke which might be a bit childish, but I thought it was hilarious. Read this first. Then this. Then you laugh. Oh alright, I'm going now. Must hoover my bedroom, print my paper because I think I'm supposed to present it tomorrow? I've no idea with this teacher of mine. Then I am going to read curriculum. Have a happy Monday! 

favourite performances from the where we are tour

Last year I did this thing where I wrote about my favourite performances of the Take Me Home tour. I looked through the post the other day (maybe a week ago? Whenever I don't remember the day, I use the phrase "the other day"), and decided that I should do it for this year too. There are a few things that I don't like about the Where We Are tour though, so here's a list. 1. Although the stage is bigger for the WWA tour, I actually miss the TMH tour stage. I personally think it looked more impressive with the huge see through stairs and the flying plank(??). A slight update-- the stage was different in Croke Park, Dublin. It seemed even bigger (probably because the stadium is bigger), and a bit like a maze to be honest. I still like the TMH stage better though. Regardless for the bigger stage, I don't think they've been very good at utilizing the space. 2. I strangely miss the sense of something akin choreography. Maybe it's just me and my need for structure, but it's something I actually long for. I think their choreographer has loosened the ties a bit too much, because removing almost all sense of choreography also removes the performance aspect. However, I haven't really got a overview of all the performances (haven't actually seen performances of all the songs), so I can't really say much about it. And I know there's a bit choreography in some of the performances, so my argument is maybe invalid? 3. Another thing I miss is a cover song. They don't have any cover song at all. So they went from covering loads of songs on the Up All Night tour, to one at the TMH tour, and then none this tour. I think it's a bit sad, especially since I loved Teenage Dirtbag. And that my friend, was all of my complaints about the WWA tour thus far. What I am happy about is probably the lack of fire by the stage, because Harry is a proper klutz's, and he very nearly walked straight into the fire twice (if not more). We don't want no burn injuries. Also, there's fireworks! This blogpost will most likely be updated as well, seeing as the tour is only one month in. Next up are my favourite performances.

Better Than Words. I'm really not keen on the chorus of this song, but I do enjoy the verses. My main reason for enjoying this performance is because of Liam, Harry and Niall. For some reason they become very enthusiastic in this performance, and very dance-y. Well, I'm not sure if I can categorize Harry's flailing limbs as dancing, but in a Harry "world" it probably is. My favourite part of this song is of course Niall's solo. And that's before the crotch grab thing happened too.

Strong. Everything about Zayn's voice is a favourite of mine in general, but my goodness. His solo before Niall's bridge is so lovely. That's it. That's the only reason why I really enjoy this performance, and most of the others too, because I just really love Zayn's voice. There's a few rumours going around that the new CD (of course they're making a new CD-- it's probably soon finished, and will probably be released in November some time) will contain a song with Zayn rapping? I am all in for that, man. I'm all in for Zayn singing me lullabies with ad libs.

You & I. Sometimes I'll listen to this song when I'm tired and it's late, and the voices will be really soothing. I really dislike the music video, and have tried to avoid it like a plaque. I can't even tell you how many times I've complained about it to Kiwi. I do however love the song, and it's maybe my favourite performance. And that's due to three things: 1. The Niam (Niall and Liam) harmonies during Zayn and Louis' verses. 2. Zayn's high notes (I really enjoy it when he mixes it up a bit). 3. When the whole crowd sings along. First time they performed this, I think-- Liam cried. I don't just enjoy Zayn's high notes, but also when he sings "we can make it if we try, you and I". It's strangely one of my favourite parts. I think I just really enjoy this song, and the vocals are so lovely.

Don't Forget Where You Belong. This is a favourite mostly because of emotional reasons. Whereas all of the other boys wrote songs about love, Niall wrote this song with McFly (one of the many boybands Niall likes to hang out with, ha). It's basically a song about not forgetting your roots, and about keeping "grounded". And I think that the song is one for the boys: "If you ever feel alone–don't. You were never on your own". Like, they spend so much time travelling, being so far from what they call "home", but they spend all that time travelling with each other. So in some ways they are each others home. When asked about which song they related the most to, all of them except Liam answered this one. I think especially the performance of the first night at Croke Park was amazing. Because, well, Niall was at home in Ireland, singing this song about not forgetting your roots.

Best Song Ever. In their movie This Is Us, they're all sat by the fire, and Louis says: "You know what it would just be amazing to be remembered, you know like a mum telling a daughter ‘the boyband of my time, One Direction, they just had fun and they’re just normal guys but terrible, terrible dancers’". I don't know if it was the first time, or the second, or the third, or the hundred time I watched the music video for this song, when I realised one of the meanings behind it. In the bridge, Louis starts singing "you know I'll remember you" and "I know you'll remember me". During this, the music video shows clips of them during the Take Me Home tour. And then Zayn sings "I hope you'll remember how we danced". So albeit it's an upbeat song, it makes me quite sentimental. Because I will always think of an ending when I listen to this song: the end of the This Is Us movie, the end of each gig (it's their ending song), the end of One Direction. On a happier note, I really enjoy the "oh, oh, oh, yeah, yeah, yeah" part. Just because I enjoy it when they allow the crowd to sing along. 

when the stars are the only things we share, will you be there?

My sister gave this chocolate egg to me this morning, whilst I was still in bed. I was chuffed, because chocolate. Apart from that I've read far too many fan fictions today. One about werewolves too, which is a bit too far from my comfort zone, because I'm not very into fantasy. And all wolf-related things doesn't really appeal to me. But it was good, and I've bookmarked it. The leaves on the tree outside my window is finally turning into the right green colour-- it's been looking a bit too yellow-y considering it's May. I told my sister about this, and I ended up saying: "so that's what I do these days, I observe trees". Speaking of trees, my mum almost cut down a whole tree today. I was a bit surprised when I walked past the window in the kitchen and saw all the branches on the grass. I've been reading about methods in research today; a lot about surveys and construction of questions. I didn't finish my school work yesterday, which is why I'm doing it now. It's not too bad, seeing as I actually think method is strangely interesting. It might have something to do with the book too though, because it's very straightforward. My goodness, yesterday I watched Essiebutton's newest vlog, and they went to see Grand Designs live. I ranted about this to Monchita, and I said "they really are my soul mates". It gives me hope that I'm not the only person who enjoys architecture, Grand Designs and Kevin McCloud. I went through my "favourite performances from the take me home tour" blogpost yesterday, and decided I should do it for the Where We Are tour as well. I'll probably write it in two weeks, when I'm done with the paper. Today I am going to watch the Eurovision final-- in three hours actually. I'm looking forward to snuggle up in front of the telly with some chocolate. Have a nice Saturday xx.

favorite performances from the take me home tour

Alright, so I promised you a list of my favorite performances from the Take Me Home tour thus far. These are my own opinions, and I've not even been on a concert yet. All I have to judge from are videos. Also, before I start this long rant, I'd like to congratulate Johan Olsson (Swedish cross country skier) for an amazing race today. I know there's supposed to be rivalry between Norway and Sweden, but I often find myself cheering on the Swedish skiers too. Also, the Swedes are actually very lovely. And as Petter Northug said, Olsson deserved to win! And there's nothing better than  Alright, back to One Direction. There will be links to both videos and gif's in this post. So, I guess, if you are to click any of the links, I'd maybe mute the sound. Or, if you enjoy fangirls screaming their mouth off, it's your decision really. Also, I enjoy all the performances really. These are just a few that stands out in the crowd to me. 

Little Things. I reckon it'll be beautiful looking at the arena when this song is performed. My favorite part about this performance is Niall's solo, because I am a Niall-girl. And it's like the suspense is building up throughout the whole song, and then the screams are all over the place the moment he starts singing "you'll never love yourself ..". But then it's the bromances too. I love the duets between Liam and Zayn, and between Niall and Harry. Especially when Harry decides to blow Niall a kiss. Also, most people know the lyrics to this song, so everyone sings along. Although, I'll admit that it would be amazing if everyone shut up. Like, if One Direction decided to do an "Ed Sheeran". Like, shush everyone in the audience, and not play unless everyone shuts up. That would be amazing.

Last First Kiss. The reason I love this performance is basically the last bit. Not that I don't like the song or anything. It's just the last part when they do this harmony, and then Zayn does the last bit in falsetto. It's just very nice. I'm very fond of harmonies - it's just lovely to listen to, isn't it? They don't do this harmony in the original song, so I was a bit taken aback when I first heard them performing it. This is a time I'd really appreciate it if everyone would shut their mouths and just listen to the lovely harmonies.

Moments. There are quite similar reasons for why I love this performance too. It is the harmonies. But it's also how they get the audience to sing along. And in this particular video I've linked to, I think Harry sings the song really lovely at 4:16-4:22. I just keep replaying it. Also, this is maybe my favorite Zayn-song? (this or More Than This). I love his solo in this song, because he sounds amazing. Amazayn. Oh yeah, I did it. Also, this song brings back many memories from the last tour. I think this song is in my top 4 favorite performances actually. I just really like harmonies (is it not obvious already?).

Rock Me. Alright, so major disappointment first. It's not Niall that sings "I want you to hit the pedal, heavy metal, show me you care" when they perform. Which is a bit weird, because when I listen to the song, I'm pretty sure it is him. Course there are harmonies too, but yeah. It is Niall singing that part. I think they just changed it up a bit, so the rest of the band had something to sing too. But I love how pumped Harry gets. Also, it's hard not to like the performance when Niall is standing in his light washed jeans and a tank top that barely covers anything and his guitar. I may or may not have a wish for Niall to become a really great guitar player so he can do guitar solos with his eyes closed. Preferably in tank tops. I just really like the song, and the feeling it gives.

Over Again. This is actually a bit of a surprise for me, because I'm not too fond of the song. It's just that I find it too "Ed Sheeran", and not particularly "One Direction". It's also one of the most surprising songs on the album too - because their british (in Niall's case: irish) accents comes through. Also, Harry sings quite fast, which is weird because he talks quite slowly. Louis sings even faster. So I was surprised that they even chose this song to perform, because it's not an easy one. But they do it so incredibly close to the original, and I just like it.

Loved You First. I love this performance mostly because I love the beat. It's just a very nice song that makes me want to dance a bit. Also, in the link to this song, you'll see Liam and Niall dancing. I also love this performance because of Niall's bridge, and how he stands behind Liam just before he's about to sing. (e's such a performer). Sometimes they joke around and do like Liam: pull Niall's top off. Minor flashback here: I'm pretty sure it was Liam (and Zayn) that pulled Harry's shirt off during his WMYB solo last tour. I- what, Liam, have you become a professional "undresser"? Next time you should undress yourself.

Teenage Dirtbag. Last but not least. Defnitely not least, because this might be my favorite performance of all above. I just love how all the lads seem to let go. Even Zayn. And that's a thing I've noticed thus far in this tour. I don't think Zayn is entirely letting go of himself just yet? It's still early stages of the tour, where they usually try to do everything like planned. But the lads have already started changing lyrics, having playfights, etc. I don't know, maybe I've not observed him entirely (which makes sense, because I'm a Niall girl and mostly only have eyes for him). Also, I love Liam's falsetto. In this particular video I've linked to, he sings "come with me Nialler, don't say maybe. I'm just a teenage dirtbag baby, like you". Yeah, me too Liam. Me too. And then it's just Niall with his guitar and that damn tank top. And I just feel like he should definitely be in a rock band with Harry (I'm saying Harry, because Harry really seems to be letting go of himself during this song). Also there's bonus points for this performance because I really love the song. Makes me happy and smiley. 

I'm right here. When are you gonna realise that I'm your cure?

I love waking up in my bed and being able to just lie there. You know, I wasn't kidding about the minor breakdown yesterday. After watching the new comic relief video with One Direction, I just didn't stop crying until my mascara made my face itchy. Like seriously, I was watching a Justin Bieber video. And I was just so sad because he's not together with Selena anymore. And the fact that he's got to deal with so many haters at an age of 19? And then I watched Rihanna performing Stay, which made me cry even more. And then I listened to Who You Are by Jessie J and Someone Like You by Adele. And it just made me sob even more. So I tried watching a video of One Direction. And it helped for two seconds - and I laughed for a change. But then that laugh turned into a sob too. I guess I've not cried for awhile, and the tears were just waiting to come. But it's all better now, and, well, yes I cried a bit today too. But that was mostly because I read a heartbreaking fan fiction. I'm currently listening to 5 Seconds of Summer. The title of this blogpost is from their new song called Heartbreak Girl. And they sort of remind me of McFly? I'm not quite sure, but I like it. I've got to try finish writing my paper due on Wednesday or Thursday. I've sort of just been lazing around the house the past days. Alright, so I did do a bit of school work Thursday evening and Friday. Nevertheless, I could have done more. But that's the problem, isn't it? I can always do more. Also, I'm a bit worried about how school and One Direction's Take Me Home tour is going to clash. All I know, is that during the past five exams I've had, instead of studying I mostly procrastinated by watching videos of One Direction. At least it's gone well. I don't know, maybe it's luck. I feel like I should get a key chain of Niall dressed up as an leprechaun. Y'know, lucky charms.

I want you to hit the pedal, heavy medal, show me you care

Oh wow. I'm so overwhelmed I can feel a tear pressing out. This is proper feels, which according to Urban Dictionary is defined as: "A wave of emotions that sometimes cannot be adequately explained". Basically, the first two shows of the TMH tour was done yesterday, and my Tumblr dashboard exploded with pictures and gifs. And I was like "3,2,1 let the whispers begin". Which basically means let the bromances begin. I don't know if you remember this. Well, yesterday this happened. (There are going to be quite a few links in this post, just so you know). During their costume change, they always have these little videos to keep the people preoccupied. And what do we get? Uhm, One Direction in undercover. Yeah, that's Louis. Also, you get shirtless Nialler and Harry in the bath. And Zayn in the shower. Because, well, Niall shouldn't be the only one to strip down, should he? Now if they could just get Liam and Louis to do the same. Oh well, there was a lot of Narry last night (four links here), so that's more than enough for me. And then it's my underdogs. Niall and Lou. They even did synchronized dance moves, but now I can't find the gif, which makes me sad. Also, there's Liam singing to Niall, because he wants to bring Goldilocks to an Iron Maiden concert. Obviously. Also, casual hip thrusts against each other between Niall and Zayn? I'm writing this with a wrinkle on my face, because I'm not quite sure what they're doing exactly. Also, can we discuss Niall's outfit in these two pictures? Because, uhm, the rest of the boys were dressed up like this. And then you have Niall who obviously thinks he's joined an Australian band or something (did someone say 5 Seconds of Summer?). I mean, I'm pretty sure it's suitable to wear tank tops that dips that low in Australia. Just not so much in Britain, where I'm pretty sure it's still very cold. Oh well, I'm not complaining. Actually, I'm applauding. Let's have a prayer circle for more nipple slips, shall we? Oh all right, I'm leaving you to eat a hamburger. Because if I don't get any more food in my stomach now, I'll might go even more delirious and post more posts like these. Can't promise I wont - even with a satisfied tummy.
