well if you can't walk then run

Men i det siste har jeg hørt på Billie Eilish (idontwannabeyouanymore og when the party's over), Ariana Grande (thank u, next og breathin), Astrid S (emotion) og Little Mix (joan of arc, the cure, strip og monster in me).

You're always in my head, branding your fire on my lips. But this still won't work, no

Weekend is over in just a blink. I've gotten rid of my books, although not exactly as I had planned. The store was closed earlier than what they had stated, so I was stood outside of the store with two bags of books. People milled past me, as I stared at the dark store, feeling the cold in my toes. I had burgers with Oyster at the burger-place. I wasn't really that hungry and therefore it kind of disqualifies the taste test. Regardless, I still list it in my top three. It was actually so good I'd like to have a burger again ASAP. We sat there for three hours, when I think the average sitting-time is probably less than an hour. Saturday was spent in interior-stores-- I literally spent seven hours in them, 3-4 of which in IKEA. IKEA on a Saturday is best to be avoided at all costs. However, most people are working "nine to five", so they've got to go when they've got the weekend off. We started our visit with a meal, because there was no way I'd walk around with low blood sugar. It was funnily enough kinda nice to share a meal with my mum and brother at IKEA with children crying around us. My brother is luckily not too picky when it comes to interior, and I got the last word with quite a few decisions. So, although we were there for hours, we did actually get a load of stuff. Today I woke up with a need to shower in the morning (I normally shower in the evenings). My morning was kicked off with a depressing article about pension money. So I had a clean of my bedroom, because cleaning often makes my mind less noisy. I even did a bit of a de-clutter in my travel-toiletry-bag, as I have tended to just push all of my mini-sizes in it. It's inconvenient when I do travel, because I always tend to throw out 30% of the bag. I had a lot of excess energy, plus I have wanted to do a work-out this whole weekend. I did a mini-session before bed last night, but today I did an hour. It's always good when you feel it burning in your bod. Years ago, I fell in love with The Paper Kites-- their song Bloom will always be a favourite. A few days ago, a new music video of theirs popped up on the videos recommended for me via Youtube. They released a new album in 2015, and it's basically what I've been listening to today. It's surprising, because the sound is very different from the Bloom-days. I tend to fall in love with a certain CD by an artist. It's not often that I continue following their new releases. And I haven't with The Paper Kites either, not until now I guess. Their lyrics are still gold, even better, I guess. Discovering music is always such a lovely thing, or rediscovering.

there's truth in the darkness we find

I've been thinking lots about your mouth

Hiya! It's exactly one week left until Dublin, and it appears that Ed Sheeran had a secret gig in Dublin just yesterday. Oh god how I fumed when I first read about it. If only, arg! Anyway, yesterday the self titled CD by The 1975 arrived in our mail. I ordered it a few days ago because I've actually wanted it for a really long time now. I listened to it whilst watching my sister play the Sims yesterday. And during, I kept commenting the songs by adressing "Matty" (meaning: Matthew Healy, the lead singer in the band). For example: "what are you even singing, Matty?". I never said I am sane. Tomorrow will be my last day at my summer job, except not really? Just the end of the summer job aspect of the job. But it'll be good to have some time off. Oh, and I can't wait to see my nephew. Also can't wait to cut my hair. And to see their dog. The only negative thing is that the weather is going to change for the worse (in my opinion) the few days they're here. Just their luck, really. Erm, I think the tree outside my house has grown? I feel like the branches are closer to my window. Maybe one day I'll be able to reach out to it. Except I hope not, I wouldn't really feel safe with such a big tree looming over me. To be honest, if it's ever struck with lightning and falls down towards my house, I'll probably die. Right, onto more happy subjects-- I had a really great day at work today. Though it felt exhausting, most of my patients were doing good. Because we were more people today, I had less patients to care for, and I really took my time with my patients. And it was just so nice, because I felt like I was able to do so many more things than I usually am. Also, I just feel like I interacted with so many patients today. Just- I had a really good day at work today. I think I am going to turn in quite soon, because I really want to sleep. Maybe read a few pages of that Bridget Jones book first though, because I don't know if I'm able to read 300 pages tomorrow before the visitors will come (I mean, in theory I can. But I probably have to spend some time cleaning and other things). Right, good night. At least good night to myself.

I asked her to stay, but she wouldn't listen, and she left before I had the chance to say the words that would mend the things that were broken. But now it's far too late she's gone away

Sugar literally sent a bunch of snapshots of different theorist from the history of psychology. Mind you, it was with hearts and whatnot. Sugar and I love theorists. Well, specific theorists. That's #2 in weird facts about me. Anyway, after "praksis" today, I went to school. And after the mandatory meeting with my teacher and the other students, I stayed behind, which I do a lot. Because I'm a student. And attend school. My mind is really stupid right now, and how fun wouldn't it be if I actually wrote down every single thought that hit me? I should do that one day. Yes. Great idea. Right, back to the point-- I was sat at school, and I had an awkward encounter. I was sat inside one of these rooms you can book if you need peace and quiet. And I was just watching a Youtube video, because I've honestly not watched one in over a week. It's feels like I've stopped watching Youtube completely. That is however, not the case. I've just grown a bit tired, and started watching Grand Designs and The Ward instead. But seeing as the Australian Grand Designs has taken over the broadcasting time, I think I'm going to quit watching it. It sounds ridiculous, but Kevin-- he's possibly the best part about Grand Designs. Anyway, again, back to the point. I was watching a Youtube video, and I was just taking a bite off my sandwich. And the door swings open. And I was a bit (very) shocked, because I didn't see him coming, which you usually can in these rooms, as there are glass walls. I was just too engulfed in the video, so when the door was opened, I was both shocked and startled. For like 10 seconds, this blonde lad and I just stared at each other before we both fully comprehended the situation. So he said sorry, looking rather sheepish. And I was still sat there, looking at him with my sandwich in my mouth (possibly chewing, who knows what my mouth was doing). He said sorry two times more, and then he shut the door. And then I started laughing for myself, because I thought it was hilarious. Didn't even have the chance to say anything. I was that stunned into silence. This is only one of the awkward things that happened today. It appears that Kodaline is coming to Oslo, Norway! That's great news, as I'm not able to see Gabrielle Aplin opening for John Mayer due to the tickets being sold out. This way I get to see at least some of the ones I want to see live. Now I just have to find someone to drag along. Or just go by myself of course-- that's entirely possible. I think that's important to remember. Sometimes you want to do something, but you let the opportunity pass, because you don't have the guts to do it by yourself. And that's really sad, because when did we become so dependent on each other? Anyway, when I finally got home today (the train was delayed. I feel very sorry for all the people who might have missed their flights due to the delays. It's my worst nightmare, being late to flights you know), I had a little chat with my neighbor, who is probably about 70-something. Possibly more. Or less. I'm so fond of him, because he's so kind, and we always seem to chat at the weirdest times. Now he was observing some construction workers. At 9:00 pm. If you didn't already know, I quite like odd people. Alright, I'm going to bed because I'm knackered.

mandag 5. august 2013

If you was in a pine box I would surely break the lock. I’d jump right in and fall asleep cause you are the death of me

This. I can't tell you that everyone watches Youtube every day. But I do. Apart from watching Kevin McCloud on Grand Designs and Friends sometimes, I rarely ever watch television. Especially when I've got school too. My form for television is actually Youtube. I can't say that I'm still watching Shaytards everyday, but I used to for a long while, and they were the reason why I started watching vlogs. Shaytards are possibly the most inspiring people ever, and they are just great. I can't tell you how much laughter they have managed to drag out of me. Or tears. I remember always reading top comments about Shaytards putting a smile on their face, and making their bad days better. I mostly only watch British people now-- because I love British people in general. But the main reason is that I can relate more to the people I watch. But this trailer made me really weepy, because I've seen so much of that. The birth of Rocktard, when Charles Trippy got a brain tumor, etc. Also, Vidcon 2013 is over, and I'm so sad, because I love watching all my favorite Youtubers together. I'm like watching them thinking please can I be your friend toooooo. Like, I'm geninuely sighing, because wow, how nice wouldn't it be to be apart of the British crew? And I'm 100% sure I'm not the only one thinking the same. Anyway, my sister came back from Spain last night, and she was supposed to take an early plane home so she could attend work too. But then she called me at 10:00 am, telling me she decided to take a later plane, and thanked me for my little note I had attached to her suitcase. When I got home from work, the family ate together and we caught up with my sister. It appears that she's had a really great time. She went to Barcelona, but she's also got a friend that's from Spain, so they went to live at her friends dad. And that's the best thing ever-- live with locals. You'll get to see other things rather than the usual sehenswürdigkeiten. Err, can't actually remember what it's in English or Norwegian, but obviously I remember it German. After the meal we watched Sweeney Todd, which is rather grotesque. But my younger sister and I love the "I'll steal you Johanna" song. It's like I just remembered how much we used to sing the song to each other. I quite enjoy musicals, and it made me want to watch Les Miserables. The actual movie, and not the concert that I've been watching over and over again. We drove our sister to the train station at 6:00 pm. Said our goodbyes and everything. Also, it appears that my lovely belieber friend had actually tried sending me a post card from Spain, but due to complications it's not reached me. But it's the thought that counts, innit? I also got mail from Ale yesterday, which made me really happy. But I've not had time to write a reply, and I suspect it'll take me a bit of time. You see, I've become penpals with Ale, which I've wanted to do for awhile. There's little like the feeling of having a letter arrive. Also, Oyster got accepted into the studies she wanted to attend. So a round of applause and congratulations to her. I'm trying to think of other things that have happened. But apart from everything I've just written, and oh-- Men From The Boys by Tony Parsons is set to arrive in 2-3 days. The problem is that Men From The Boys is the final book in the triology. And I've only read Man and Boy, which is the first. The second is Man and Wife, and it's yet to be sent to me. I'm just really afraid it won't be here before I leave for Aalesund, and that will suck, because I will not read Men From The Boys before I've read Man and Wife. And that's one of my minuscule problems these days. Oh, and before I go to bed, I would like to recommend Care by Hudson Taylor (link here) because it's gorgeous, and I'm getting a little Beatles -vibe from listening to it? Is that just me? Oh well, but it's really nice, and Hudson Taylor are really talented, so yeah.

I know that a love like this won't last forever

Arrrrrg, I have this melody and a faint remembrance of some lyrics stuck in my head. It's so bloody annoying. And I can't listen to any music until I find out which song it is. Well, sure I could, but I just really want to know which song it is. It's on the tip of my tongue. Oh god, I even asked my younger sister. OH MY GOD!!! It's To Be With You by Mr. Big. Searching "feel it too lyrics" on Google did little to help, but apparently it did on Youtube. Alright, back to actual blogging. If watching countless music videos on the telly counts as watching TV, then I have spent a big amount of watching TV today. I woke up at 8:30 am in order to start the cleaning. Except, when I wandered downstairs I poured myself a cup of tea and started reading a fan fiction. I've been postponing cleaning for ages. But after finishing reading the fan fiction, which was really really sweet by the way (I shed a lone tear), I got off my arse and started the long process. Thing is that my family are champions in soiling, but not cleaning. And whenever I clean, I tend to get really detailed. I become a bit of Monica about it. I'll have to remove dust and sort everything out. Except, I can't because it's not all my stuff, and whenever I do sort papers and whatnot, my family always come nagging about me throwing important stuff away. So I've stopped doing that, and every time I look at the mess, I think "I really really want to move out". Anyway, had to take a break in order to eat some breakfast. Sometimes I'm stupid enough to wait until I'm starving before I eat something. It's not something I suggest. But once I get caught up in something, it's like I cannot do anything else until I'm finished. So I was absolutely famished. And yes, I've been watching TV all day-- firstly MTV Live HD. My belieber friend has told me to watch this channel multiple times, but I've never taken time to actually sit down and watch the telly. But I figured since I was alone I might as well use that opportunity to watch telly with a high volume without anyone complaining. But then it got a bit boring, because there were none actual live sessions. I did watch MTV Live HD yesterday, and I watched Little Mix and Stooshe. The latter have such a funny name! I'm going to start saying it just to be annoying. Anyway, because there were none live sessions, I changed till' VH1? Or some channel that was broadcasting 90's music. And oh my god, you should definitely watch the music video to Lift Me Up by Geri Halliwell. It's one of the most hilarious things I've seen. And did you know that Bryan Adams and Mel C had a collaboration? And yet again, I do get a bit surprised whenever I recognize songs. Does anyone remember I Love You Always Forever by Donna Lewis? Well, apparently I do. And I've been pondering about why I do know all these songs, and I've decided that it's because of all the movies I've watched throughout the times. When I was younger I used to watch a movie probably each night, because I had my own telly in my bedroom. It's probably why I know a lot of stupid and unimportant things. Wait-- does anyone remember I'll Be Missing You by Puff Daddy and Faith Evans? I'm on a roll. I'm just going to listen to old music all day. Thing is, I sort of finished reading a sort of good fan fiction yesterday that mentioned Wouldn't It Be Nice by Beach Boys. And then I listened to it on Youtube, and whenever a video stops playing there are more suggestions, yeah? So next I listened to Lollipop by the Chordettes, Staying Alive by Bee Gees, Stand By Me by the Drifters and My Girl by The Temptations. The latter is one of my absolute favorites because of the movie My Girl. If you've not seen it, you definitely should! Okay one last song. Ready or Not by The Fugees-- did you know it was released in 1996? I thought it was more recent, something from the 00's. It's The Fugees that sings Killing Me Softly With His Song. You'll probably know the song if you've watched About A Boy. You see what I mean about my music knowledge existing because of movies? Anyway, I found my Youtube soulmates yesterday. Alright, maybe not soulmates, but close. They like furniture, design and thrift shopping(!). I spent two hours (less or more) watching their vlogs yesterday, opting to not watch my regular favorites. I'm going to catch up with the ones I ignored yesterday. But first a bit of One Direction: Narry is sunshine and weirdness. You know what's funny? Most of the times it's the lads in One Direction that inspires the fan fictions. We got what? Ballroom dancing from Niall and Harry last week? And now it's like loads of dancing fictions with Narry as a pairing. I just really long for a 50k word Narry fan fiction. Or a 100k word one-- god, that would have been heaven. You know how I love harmonies? Well, yesterday there was this other version of Kiss You by One Direction on Tumblr. An extended version, if you will. And there were harmonies. HARMONIES. And it was so good. Now I have to go listen to it again. And again. And maybe One Thing acoustic. Harmonies. You know what? I almost had a fit yesterday before I went to bed. Kodaline has released their new album In A Perfect World. But it's not available in the store I usually go to buy music. I fell in love with Kodaline when I first heard All I Want. And the funny thing is that I was just searching around for songs to put in my playlist for Kiwi. That's perhaps my favorite part about life, how accidental things are. I enjoy collecting CD's-- you know, having something to hold onto. I remember my old teacher saying that earlier; in his younger days, everyone used to be excited about the CD cover. It's less important these days, but I wish it still had the same importance today. I mean, I'd still love it to be cassettes, but you know-- technology forces time to go on. I still really want a VCR player though. Anyway, I think Kodaline might be the music for my summer this year. Last summer it was Ed Sheeran and One Direction. I'm really looking forward to Ed Sheeran's new music, but it's been a really long time since he wrote and recorded +, which means the new music might be considerably different. And I'm not quite sure how I'll feel about that. Anyway (how many times do I use this word?), Youtube videos and food. That's my schedule for the rest of the day.

was it easier to pack your bags and book that flight to Paris

It's May 1st! One day closer to the One Direction concert, one day closer to my exam, and one day closer to my death. When I awoke today, I went on Tumblr. And no, no, no, nope, no, nooooo. (There are links in every no, in which I do not approve of. And every single one is One Direction-related. Do not click). After a bloody long lecture yesterday (in which my belieber friend and I had a music quiz where we guessed song titles from lyrics), I went home and had a shower and a meal before I headed over to Oyster's. I had my usual hangout with her younger brother and younger sister (watched Toy Story 2 with her broseph, and refreshed my memory of Twenty Eight by The Weeknd on the piano with her sister (we also did a few duets where she played and I sang along; My Heart Will Go On, If I Was Your Man, A Thousand Years, etc). And then I ate a piece of pizza while we watched Power Puff Girls. Oh, and That's So Raven. I now want to learn the PPG-theme song, and I want a PPG t-shirt. After this we headed upstairs for "bed", which basically means we spent an hour or two? Or three (don't really know) - chatting. About everything really. And it was nice, because we continued chatting when we woke up (when Oyster came back to her room after having woken up before me). We we're reminiscing about our childhood, and apparently I was a really drama queen and a huge cry baby? Thank god I've changed (or have I?). Sometimes I feel like I've got to have a serious talk with my friends. See how they're doing. Maybe it's ridiculous and unnecessary. And you can ask "how are you?", and get a "fine" back. And you can move on just like that. But sometimes the person isn't fine. And it just takes a bit of time for the person to let it out. So you wait a bit, let there be a silence. And if the other person wants to - they can fill that silence. Hah, this sound like a "how to" tutorial. It almost feels like it's been a weekend, although we only have one day off. And what am I going to use that day on? Reading. I can actually see the end of my book now, and it's such a great feeling. Also, I've got my last paper to finish. It's due in two weeks, so I might as well get it done now. I'm going to leave you with my current playlist "luv" (I'm really creative with the titles of my playlists', I know). The first song is where I've got the lyrics from the title of this blogpost, and also the lyrics in the first picture.

"luv"
1. Morning Song by The Lumineers
2. Stubborn Love by The Lumineers
3. Beside You by 5 Seconds of Summer
4. Toothpaste Kisses by The Maccabees
5. Cold Coffee by Ed Sheeran

our love was made for movie screens

Everyone should go listen to All I Want by Kodaline. It is one of the prettiest songs ever, lyrical wise. And to me, it is melody wise too. But then again, I'm very fond of indie rock. Kodaline happens to be Irish too, 'm just saying. I came across them last week at school whilst I was making a playlist for my friend. And the music video is just really lovely too (the song is incredible live too). The song is actually in a Grey's Anatomy episode. And it just proves that Grey's Anatomy delivers gems. I have actually heard it on the show, but I think I was too preoccupied to watch the episode rather than paying attention to the music, which is why I've not "discovered" it until now. The title of this blogpost is lyrics from the song, as with the drawing. I was drawing today, after cleaning my room, and I just really want a new drawing book. Because the one I have now is rubbish. Like, proper rubbish. Every time I use my rubber, the sheet is sort of ruined. Which is why I didn't even bother painting this, or remove the remains of the rubber. I did actually sort my books alphabetically today, after reading pathology out in the sun. I'll show you tomorrow, I guess. On another note, there's a quote from one of my favorite fan fictions I've been meaning to write about. "..sometimes you meet people and you can just tell they're going to be in your life for a really long time - and maybe you don't know the hows or whys of it all, but you do know they'll be there, and that feels like enough" (1). I read this not very long after celebrating the birthday of my belieber friend. And it sort of went straight to my heart, because it was literally something we spoke about that night. Basically  we're four people, who might be the most different people in the world. But somehow, we've managed to become the best of friends. And we were holding a speech each for my belieber friend, and I'm pretty sure I said "I don't know why we're friends". And this quote just put words to my thoughts, which is why it's brilliant in my mind.

you fill my lungs with sweetness

I’ve been painting. Filled in the “broken heart” picture I drew last week, and this. It’s lyrics from my absolute favorite song at the moment. Bloom by The Paper Kites. The lyrics are so lovely, and it’s the kind of “I’ve fallen in love” song, not the gloomy and morose types that I have been loving lately. I’ve also painted one of my favorite lines from a fan fiction. It is more of a gift for the author to show my appreciation. But I quite love it, and I’ll maybe post it here tomorrow.

It’s 2013 if you didn’t know. I spent my New Year’s Eve with two of my closest friends, and we ate a lovely dinner and dessert afterwards. We did start off having a Lord of The Rings marathon, but the movies never end. And they are kind of heavy. There is so much information in such a little amount of time. So we decided to have a Harry Potter marathon instead. So now I’ve finally seen the last three movies. Ha, yes, I am well aware that I’m a bit late. We did of course watch the fireworks and some popped sparkling wine. And my friend happens to have the most amazing view, so it was quite amazing. We even saw flying lanterns! Anyhow, considering we had a marathon, we were up all night, and I swear, I almost fell asleep standing.

When I came home, I fell at sleep at 5:00 pm, woke up at 1:00 am, ate and went on Tumblr until 3:00 am. Fell asleep and woke up at 01:00 pm. So yeah, I was kind of knackered, and it was really really lovely to sleep. About my goal to read three books before the holiday is over – I think I’m not going to do that. Not because I can’t. Just because the third book is a real bore. But I think I’m going to start on another book that’s been in my collection unread for ages. I suppose it’s time to actually read it.

you held my hands so very tightly, and told me what we could be

It’s two days until Christmas. I woke up before anyone else today and proceeded to go downstairs, and I even looked at all the presents. No, I didn’t shake anyone to try figure out what was inside. But still, I sat down and looked at all the presents, and I felt like such a kid. It’s still snowing outside, meaning it most definitely will be snow for Christmas (if I jinxed the whole thing now, I’m sorry). And I’m so grateful for it, because I didn’t have any snow last year. Only a storm. Right now we are about to eat some breakfast and go to the mall. But everyone are being lazy and lying at the couch, which isn’t the best thing considering I also have a concert to attend.

I do realize that I’ve not written anything about One Direction lately, in which some of you may feel relieved. But yesterday one of the Norwegian television channels broadcasted the Up All Night live dvd. Obviously I recorded it, and then my older sister said: “oh hey, aren’t they those guys you like?”. Do bear in mind that no one other than my younger sister in my family knows about my obsession with One Direction. So, I was a bit taken aback, and I tried to remember if I’d ever mentioned them to my older sister. And when she saw my facial expression, she proceeded: “I saw the poster in your room”. And I was like oh, right. And then during their cover of Use Somebody, my older sister and brother said something similar like “well, that wasn’t very well”, and changed the channel. And I was like, what? That was in the middle of Niall’s solo, thank you very much. My very considerate sister then said: “Well, that song wasn’t so good, but they are probably good otherwise”, just to please me. And I was like please, don’t talk to me, not bothering to look their way. No, I’m joking. To be honest, I just laughed. And to be fair, I don’t think they justify the song either. Also, thank god for Harry's sister. She is awesome, and the twitpic must be an evidence for that.

I’ll leave you with my indie playlist for the moment. Even if it is Christmas, and I should probably be listening to Christmas songs. Oh well. The order has no relevance.

carla, you don't say much

Once upon a time, I stumbled across a "Burberry Acoustic" video, and then I just listened to all the songs. Life In Film was one of the two bands that really clicked for me. Carla is my favorite song by them! I love indie-music
